Careers at Secure-24Senior Data Center Technician

The Senior Data Center Technician will be expected to perform day-to-day data center functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Add, remove, and modify Data Center and office user access
  • Operating and maintain all building infrastructure including but not limited to HVAC, power distribution and fire suppression
  • Physical implementation of new and existing customer equipment, including racking, cabling, port provision and basic configuration
  • Maintain all customer equipment
  • Racking and cabling of customer telecommunication equipment including cross connecting circuits
  • Customer backup tape rotations to offsite faculties
  • Attend meetings and conference calls
  • Perform quarterly Data Center Access and Inactivity reviews
  • Manage data center requests within Incident Monitor and delegate work as needed
  • Perform any and all other requests as needed

Additional Non-essential Functions:

  • Working as a point-of-contact
  • Working as a sell-in function
  • Setting expectations in the field for executive briefings, data center tours, custom engagements

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of project management experience
  • Data center experience
  • Knowledge/background in software industry products/ services/ applications
  • Strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills
  • Tactically oriented and highly detail oriented to support organization
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with external vendors
  • Ability to make presentations
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the industry
